AN INVITATION TO ATTEND

ETAP, the Tunisian National Oil Company, would like to extend a warm invitation to you to attend the Tenth Tunisian Exploration & Production Conference which will be held in Tunis from 13th to 18th October 2008 in El Mouradi Hotel Gammarth.

As in the past conferences, the EPC'2008 will bring together, explorationists and engineers from the oil and gas industry and the university, to address current issues faced by the oil and gas industry, exchange ideas and experiences, improve your knowledge and skills and discuss business.
The general theme of the conference will be “New hydrocarbon exploration targets and gas development challenges”.

The conference programme will include two day technical oral and poster sessions and technical exhibits, and two post-conference field trips.

In addition to the technical side of the conference, delegates and accompanying persons will be provided with a number of recreational events including a day tour program, creating an atmosphere for free exchange of ideas and relaxation.

FIELD TRIP F1
The post conference field trip F1 will focus on “the numidian in Northern Tunisia : a challenging gas target”.

The siliciclastic gravity deposits of the Oligo-miocene flysh in Northern Tunisia, where several sandstone bodies corresponding to channels and lobes, represent a potential reservoirs intercalates within a tick shaly intervals, an efficient seals.

The identification of shaly source rock levels an oil seepage of the sandy levels indicate active numidian flysch petroleum system.

Date: October 16-18, 2008
Leaders: C. Maherssi (ETAP), H. Ben Jemia.

FIELD TRIP F2
The post conference field trip F2 will focus on “Oil seeps and source rocks in Northern Tunisia”.
This field trip is designed for experienced explorationists and engineers as an opportunity to provide geological and geochemical overview of oil seeps and source rocks occurring in Northern Tunisia and to examine and discuss the petroleum prospectivity of the area.

Date: October 06-18, 2008
Leaders: M. Saidi (ETAP), H. Belayouni (FST)and A. Meskini (ETAP).
